Earth to Fork Nutrition
The Formula For Sustainable Nutrition
Humans used to not worry about what they ate, they ate what nature and farmers provided. Now we need a guide or coach to help navigate the vast sea of nutritional data presented by main stream and government. We now have confined animal feeding operations, pesticide covered and hormone injected food, genetically modified foods, and substances in our food that we have no idea what it will do to our bodies. These “Franken foods” have been directly linked to modern diseases like dementia, obesity, diabetes, ADHD, etc.
Suck it up and work with nature! Start eating and thinking like your ancestors. In Ori Hofmekler’s book “The Warrior Diet”, “Our ancestors consumed food much less frequently and often had to subsist on one large meal per day, and thus from an evolutionary perspective, human beings were adapted to intermittent feeding rather than to grazing.”
Be discriminating and seek out the quality food that nourishes and will give the most benefit. Humans simply not eat and sometimes went long periods of time without eating. Lions will rest and recover after consuming a meal in a safe place. Do you eat on the run? Do you eat every time you are hungry without regard to food quality? This is considered scavenger eating and is frequently done by children. Travelers are especially vulnerable while they succumb to the poor quality choices in airports in the belief that they need to eat every two to three hours. Frequent feeding does nothing but feed big business while destroying one’s health. Give your body a break and start enjoying the many benefits of intermittent fasting just like our ancestors did for thousands of years.
Holistic Nutrition Education
“I educate on the virtues of eating a whole foods based diet and passing along that knowledge to improve the lives of others.”
-Steven Ashton
Recipe Analysis
What is Recipe Analysis? –
I input the recipe or food item into the program and using database analysis you are provided the complete nutritional breakdown. This can be a single ingredient or a complex recipe. The results can then be sent to a report usually formatted in the standard USDA label format. This format can also be customized. This information can be listed on the menu itself or on a separate document.
Entire menus can be broken down with this method.
This same data can be exported to a web site that customers can view by clicking on menu items.
Interaction can be done via email
- The average customer is becoming more educated on food and wants to know what exactly it is that they are consuming.
- Lets the customer know macronutrient and micronutrient breakdown.
- Nutrient profiles are healthy knowledge that should be readily available.
Customers like to be empowered with knowledge.Show the customer the nutritional profile of your recipe without giving up the recipe and preparation technique .
People are becoming more aware of the food situation and how important it is to know what one is putting into their body. By providing the important nutritional breakdown to the customer, you are letting them know that you care about their concerns.
This could be a requirement in the near future so using this service will provide the restaurant with a progressive tool that will make yours stand out.
The proprietor may not even be aware of the nutrient content and by analyzing the recipe will allow the chef to adjust to get the desirable profile.
Convenient pricing options available based on number of items and recipes.
